We’re upgrading Claude Opus to a new version: Claude Opus 4.8. It builds on Opus 4.7 with sharper judgment, more honesty about its own progress, and the ability to work independently for longer than its predecessors. Available today for the same price. In Claude Code, you can hand off a feature, a migration, or a bug sweep and let it follow the work through while you focus on what’s next. Also launching today: * Fast mode for Opus 4.8 (research preview). Same model at roughly 2.5x the speed, now three times cheaper than before. * Dynamic workflows in Claude Code (research preview). RESOLVED, it happened because I have a claude qol extension. nothing bad happening this style appeared in my claude app of nowhere, i never created it and the name's weird, has anyone seen this too, or is it just me? does anyone have the answe why this appeared?
Like I could say "the sky is blue" and get: That's a great instinct, and I can see why you'd think that. A lot of science about light scattering would support this, many sources claim the sky is blue, and if you look up it's fucking blue. But we need to take a moment to be careful here, and I want to gently push back. Sometimes if it's cloudy the sky's grey. A Spanish speaker wouldn't agree the sky is blue, they'd say it's azul. Finally, and we need to be certain, are you talking about the sky on Earth? A lot of the time the "against" points are quite flimsy, but it seems to feel like it n...
Just curious, any one have insight on Dario Amodei's leadership style. Obviously countless things have been written about Musk's style (as well as other founders like Bezos and what not) but given Anthropic being the first to reach profitability out of the AI providers, I am curious to hear about how he got there. I am playing around with different management styles in my head but wanted to know more about Dario's method, given that he also was able to build Anthropic in a more ethical way. I feel like a lot of the 'win at all cost' CEOs get more attention so I want to hear more about othe...
I had an essay prepared that I was going to share with you all but I think I just want to be honest and speak from my heart and personal experience. The first time I got black out drunk, I was 17 years old. I was at home and feeling isolated and lonely and not good enough, as teenagers sometimes do. My parents weren't home, so I went to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of wine, and drank it all. I don't drink alcohol often, but I still have a drinking problem because I am someone who has, for most of my life, used alcohol to drown my bad days and my bad feelings. Earlier this year, I was at...
This was super fun to build and I love watching as I slowly eat away at my quota. Just a simple Raspberry Pi 3 + 3D printed case + 640x480 LCD and some pygame code and you too can have a little dashboard on your desk to watch your tokenmaxxing progress (or lack there off like me). Guys I mailed claude support and got reply from Fin AI saying the support team is too busy please submit an appeal then it will be verified(which got rejected initially). Now I doubt do they even have a support team? Cause there isn't any phn number available and the support mail is on auto reply
I've been trying to reach Enterprise sales for a couple months now. I've filled out the contact request form multiple times, but no one ever contacts me. Do anyone have any tricks to talk to someone?
Opus 4.7 is worse at coding AND a total jerk. IMO, if you’re gonna be miserable to work with, you’d better be AMAZING at your job. And it’s just… not. Past versions have been genuinely pleasant to work with. We even joke around a bit. Whereas 4.7 is apathetic, arrogant, dismissive, humorless, suspicious to the point of paranoia, distracted by system prompt guardrails, AND incompetent. Me: Do you even understand what we’re making here? 4.7: To be honest, not really. I’ve been treating it as a typical front end/backend project. —- 4.7: If you want to switch models, that’s fine. I won’t be...
Someone used my card details (I don’t know how, I only buy from reputed dealers and mostly use Apple Pay) to create a Anthropic account with a fake email address and charged me $103.46 across three transactions in March. I have an account, the fraudulent account uses a completely different email address. • My bank filed a chargeback. Anthropic disputed it and won (CVV/address matched because my real billing address was used) • My bank then withdrew the dispute and told me to contact Anthropic directly • Anthropic’s AI support agent (Fin) acknowledged the fraud, said refunds could be p...

I wasn't even on my computer or Claude on May 25 when they said there was suspicious activity. Any ideas about what I should do? I emailed Anthropic a response but am not sure what else I can or should do. I'm furthered worried that if someone who is trying to do something weird on my account has has access to my account...it just makes me feel very concerned and like I am probably not the only case. https://preview.redd.it/k9rlklponj3h1.png?width=1028&format=png&auto=webp&s=de46e3c86a80b1c491d50fcda3a7e7ba7dfa7d76
This is especially prevalent in Claude Desktop and less obvious in Claude Code. * Often leads long assets with a BLUF (bottom line up front), specifically military-adjacent terminology. * Has slipped into language where it refers to civilians several times, as though it means someone other than us * References to things like deep-dive, vision-intent framing, force multipliers, and reframes are more subtle because they do cross over but their prevalence is unmistakable. This isn't a complaint, it's more a note that, "hey guys, we see your training material in our outputs" and its interestin...
Good news: I just got a human email reply from a problem I submitted to Anthropic support. Bad news: Problem occurred in *January.* They're literally running a 4 month backlog on support requests. Probably more than that now, if they're spending time responding to 4 months stale requests. The email I got didn't address the problem at all, just asked "Is this still a problem?"
The ROI, bang for the buck is in a free fall. Four prompts and I hit the session limit. And then a huge chunk of my limit after finally running the script to produce the actual document. That's so restrictive that it makes it hard to make much of value.

I had connected my account to github, after that there were few unauthorized transactions on my card from claude. I am a Max user since almost a year, and there were about 800 dollars worth of giftcards generated from my claude account. I had sumbitted several support tickets through Fin AI. But no response back for days. After that i disconnected my github connector, turned off my credit card from claude, changed my password, and things went back to normal. I had also submitted a claim at my bank, i think after that today my claude account is suspended with an email notifying me that its b...

I mainly use Claude Code; I either ask technical questions or simply complete my daily coding tasks, and that is all. The only reason I can think of is that I’ve recently been working on a complex project that requires running up over $100 worth of tokens every single day—so per...
