Making Kubernetes AI-Ready for NVIDIA Vera Rubin on Day One

Configuring and optimizing Kubernetes for new GPU hardware such as NVIDIA Vera Rubin is complex and error-prone. Drivers, kernels, runtimes, networking, operators, and schedulers must work together, with settings tuned to the hardware and workload. Small mismatches can prevent workloads from running or limit performance. The NVIDIA AI Cluster Runtime (AICR)—part of the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory… Source

Teams building AI applications need a repeatable path from a model configuration to a working inference endpoint. NVIDIA Dynamo is a distributed inference framework that coordinates model serving across GPU workers. Deploying it on Kubernetes is only a first step. A successful model deployment requires more: GPU drivers, resource allocation, scheduling, networking, and monitoring must all work… Source

Memory-Enforced GPU Sharing in Kubernetes with NVIDIA CUDA 13.4

Many AI workloads need only a fraction of a GPU. Giving each one an entire device can leave capacity idle; sharing GPUs lets platform teams serve more workloads with the infrastructure they already have. NVIDIA GPUs already support several approaches to sharing. Multi-instance GPU (MIG) splits a GPU into hardware-isolated instances that are transparent to the application… Source

How NVIDIA Mission Control 2.5 Brings Autonomous Recovery to Kubernetes

Training large-scale AI models on thousands of GPUs is a high-stakes operation where monitoring and automation must be built-in to optimize cluster resiliency and uptime at scale. This concept isn’t new to data center operators who have measured mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) and mean-time-between-failure (MTBF) long before AI factories existed. Now the stakes are higher. Modern AI factories run… Source

The iPhone Duo should have been an iPad

We gave the iPhone Duo a 7 /10. But that wasn't always the score we planned, and it might not be the right score forever. Such are the challenges of reviewing - and assessing - a big, new idea about the most popular smartphone in history. On this episode of The Vergecast, David and Nilay debate whether the Duo deserved the score it got, and try to work through how this device might change over time. Is the outer screen, as Daring Fireball's John Gruber suggested, the worst iPhone ever? Would it be a better product if it started as an iPad rather than an iPhone? Would we feel differently about...

A woman was arrested in Philly for blocking a delivery robot

Carolyn Marvin was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after blocking the path of an Uber delivery robot and refusing to get out of the way. Marvin told Philadelphia's ABC13 "I know they're taking the jobs of human delivery workers and so, I have been protesting them whenever I saw them by standing in front of them and preventing them from going forward." Police responded to the scene and asked Marvin to move out of the robot's way. When she refused, they placed her in cuffs and arrested her. The incident was captured on video and has now garnered considerable media attention. The de...

Benn Jordan on Flock, privacy, and the new surveillance backlash

Today, I’m talking with Benn Jordan, musician, YouTuber, researcher, and investigative journalist. You might know Benn from those first two titles — he’s got a prolific discography of experimental music dating back decades. But in the last couple of years, he’s become a high-profile face in the creator and media spaces for his work investigating Flock Safety, the maker of automatic license plate readers and the software that powers them. Benn recently testified in front of Congress, at a hearing the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism held, dedicated to Flo...

GPU-accelerated Kubernetes clusters depend on compatible versions across dozens of components, each on its own release cycle: host kernels, GPU drivers, container runtimes, networking, storage, operators, and workload frameworks. A configuration that works for one service, GPU generation, and Kubernetes release may silently fail for another, and tracing version conflicts after deployment is… Source

All the latest news on Meta’s cute, creepy Muse AI agent

Meta launched a new Muse AI agent it claims can help you with everything from firing off emails to buying stuff online. Muse can be surprisingly effective at delivering on those promises — if you’re willing to trust Meta with your data and hand Muse your credit card. Since the launch, Meta’s also announced plans for a Tamagotchi-like Muse Charm device for its cuddly AI mascot. Follow along here for the latest news and updates. Meta’s Muse AI sent a YouTuber’s address to a stranger Meta expands Muse tools for small businesses. Meta Enterprise Platform will bring its Muse AI to businesses. Mayb...

Meta’s Muse AI sent a YouTuber’s address to a stranger

Tech YouTuber Matt Robb says that Muse gave out his home address to a total stranger this weekend, after authorizing the bot to handle his Facebook Marketplace account. That's despite Meta placing great emphasis on the security features of Muse when it launched the personal AI agent earlier this month as it tries to catch up with competing AI providers like Anthropic and OpenAI. "Just found out it told people my address and agreed a lowball price and then they showed up without it even telling me until late tonight that it messed up," Robb said on Threads, providing a screenshot of Muse's adm...

Kubernetes manages what runs on your nodes. Managing the nodes themselves is the challenge: kernel settings, system packages, storage layouts, security agents, and the host-level tuning that GPU workloads depend on. Many teams manage this with Ansible playbooks, custom scripts, and manual runbooks. That works until a new cluster comes up in a different region, a kernel upgrade breaks RDMA… Source

Federated learning (FL) projects often begin with a straightforward setup: one server, a few clients, and one dataset at each site. As those projects grow, the challenge shifts from running an algorithm to operating shared infrastructure. GPUs must be allocated when jobs need them, multiple research studies must remain separated, and every participating organization must retain control of its own… Source

Modern AI platforms are no longer a single application behind one login screen. A user may start in a central portal, open a governed dataset, launch a notebook where that data resides, and invoke an assistant that calls services in another cluster. The workflow feels unified, but identity crosses control-plane and data-plane boundaries at every step. That is where conventional single sign-on… Source

What Iterated Self-Feeding Probes of Language Models Measure, and a test that separates the construction from the model

A growing class of methods probes a language model by feeding it its own output: self-consistency, iterated refinement, agentic loops. We ask what such a probe measures, in a construction chosen to make the question sharp: a ring of token cells resampled in place by the model's own windowed conditional p_r(x_i | x_{i+-r}). The substrate is Glauber dynamics on token sequences and is not new; what we change is the coupling. Advancing two rings that differ in one token under common random numbers makes undamaged copies diverge by exactly zero, so damage spreading becomes measurable where a maxim...
